Five Grain Sourdough Bread - This fantastic, well rounded, five grain sourdough bread recipe is also a bread machine recipe, so we know it is definately easy. Overflowing with healthy five grain, flavor, this easy healthy bread is satisfying on it’s own, and incredible, when made into a sandwich.
Prep Time: 5-10 mins |
Ingredients to make Five Grain Sourdough Bread
DIRECTIONS FOR 1 LB LOAF:
1 1/2 ts Active dry yeast
1 1/2 c Bread flour
1/4 c Aramanth flour*
1/4 c Whole wheat flour
1/4 c Soy flour
1/4 c Rolled oats
2 tb Powdered milk
1 ts Salt
1 tb Honey
1/4 c Flax or sesame seeds
3/4 c Sourdough starter
1/2 c Water

2 1/4 ts Active dry yeast
2 1/4 c Bread flour
1/4 c (plus 2 tb) Aramanth flour*
1/4 c (plus 2 tb)Whole wheat flour
1/4 c (plus 2 tb) Soy flour
1/4 c (plus 2 tb) Rolled oats
3 tb Powdered milk
1 1/2 ts Salt
1 1/2 tb Vegetable oil
1 1/2 tb Honey
1/3 c Flax or sesame seeds
1 c (plus 2 tb)Sourdough starter
3/4 c Water

Old Fashioned Turkey Stuffing - This quick fix turkey stuffing recipe is loaded with old fashioned charm. A hearty blend of corn bread, bread crumbs and biscuits, combined with fresh, yummy vgetables, then simply spiced with aromatic sage. Try this quick, easy to prepare recipe for your next Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.

Ingredients to make Old Fashioned Turkey Stuffing
1 qt Day-old bread crumbs
1 qt Day-old crumbled corn bread
1 qt Day-old biscuits
1 c Chopped onion
1 c Chopped celery
1/4 c Chopped gr onion with tops
1/4 c Chopped parsley
1 1/2 ts Sage
1 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
2 c Turkey Broth defatted
1/2 c Melted butter
2 Slightly beaten eggs
Directions to make Old Fashioned Turkey Stuffing
In a large mixing bowl, combine crumbs, corn bread, crumbled biscuits, onion, celery, parsley, sage, salt and pepper. Toss well. Add broth, butter and eggs. Mix well, but lightly. (You may add extra broth) Mixture should be extra moist.
Loosely stuff neck and body cavities of turkey, or for ease in preparation and serving, cook separately in a well-greased baking dish or casserole during the last 45 minutes of turkey roasting time.
Before serving, blend stuffing from turkey with that baked separately.

Ingredients to make Greek Isle Bread
1/2 c Water
2 c White bread flour
3 tb Yogurt,plain
2 ts Dry milk
1 tb Sugar
1 ts Salt
2 ts Butter
1 pinch Garlic powder
4 ts Black olives,chopped
1/2 ts Sweet basil
1/2 ts Dill weed
2 1/2 tb Feta cheese
2 1/2 tb Cucumber,pureed
1/2 ts Fast-Rise yeast *** OR ***
1 ts Active-Dry yeast
SUCCESS HINTS: Cucumber should be peeled, seeded, and then pureed. If the feta cheese is packed in water, drain well. Finely chop the black olives.
Directions to make Greek Isle Bread
Measure all ingredients into bread maker, in order recommended by manufacturer. Start on Basic cycle.

Homemade Cereal Bread with Chocolate Chips - Its a recipe like this, that makes you very glad you make your own bread. Sweet, scrumptious, and simple it is a family favorite at our house, and always vanishes quickly.

Ingredients to make Homemade Cereal Bread with Chocolate Chips
1 c Grape nuts
2 c Buttermilk(low fat 1.5%)
2 c Sugar
2 Eggs or 1/2c egg substitute
1/2 ts Salt
3 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Baking soda
2 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Chocolate chips
1 ts Vanilla
Directions to make Homemade Cereal Bread with Chocolate Chips
Soak Grape-Nuts in buttermilk for 10 minutes. Beat sugar and eggs or substitute together in a large bowl. Add milk/Grape-Nuts mixture and vanilla.
Sift flour with salt, soda and powder and stir thoroughly into the Grape-Nuts mixture. Add chocolate chips and mix well.
Pour into 2 non-stick sprayed 9 x 5 inch loaf pans and bake at 350F for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Makes 2 loaves.

Amaretto Coconut Bread - This wonderful, homemade bread, is simply sweet! Baked with rich amaretto, and flavorful coconut, until golden brown. Try it toasted, with your favorite tea.

Ingredients to make Amaretto Coconut Bread
4 oz Tofu
1 c Sugar
1/4 c Amaretto
14 fl Coconut milk
2 1/2 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
1 tb Baking powder
1 c Coconut flakes
Directions to make Amaretto Coconut Bread
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Blend together tofu and sugar thoroughly in an electric mixer or by mashing them together in a large mixing bowl.
Mix Amaretto and coconut milk into tofu until well blended.
Meanwhile, sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Toss in coconut flakes, then add dry ingredients to liquid mixture and blend thoroughly. Spoon batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake about 50 minutes
[Note: 1 teaspoon of almond extract and 1/4 cup of water may be substituted for the 1/4 cup of Amaretto. 1 1/2 cups water plus 1/4 cup oil may be used instead of coconut milk.]

Ingredients to make Sweet Apple Pie Bread
2 C All-purpose flour,unbleached
1/2 C Rolled oats,old-fashioned
1 T Baking powder
1 T Baking soda
1 T Ground cinnamon
1/4 Ts Salt
1 Lg Egg
1 Lg Egg white
1/2 C Brown sugar,packed
1/4 C Honey
1 Tb Vegetable oil
1 C Buttermilk
1 1/4 C Apples,unpeeled,finely chopped,2-3 apples
Directions to make Sweet Apple Pie Bread
Preheat oven to 350 degrees; coat a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. Whisk the flour with the oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; set aside.
Beat the egg, egg white, brown sugar, honey and oil with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add the buttermilk and beat again. Stir the flour and apples into the batter by hand just until combined.
Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean. The crust may crack.
Cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Turn out onto rack and cool completely.
